Paw Cleaner does the job at the door in about 15 seconds. Spray, brush, wipe dry. No tap, no bucket, no wet dog.

How to use it

Shake the bottle. One pump on each paw. Work the brush head between the pads for a few seconds, where the dirt sits and a towel cannot reach. Then wipe the paw dry with a towel and brush through the fur around it if it needs it.

Dry, not damp. A damp paw gets licked, and that is the thing you are trying to avoid. There is no rinsing.

When it earns its place

The muddy hallway, from October to March. Road salt and grit, which is worth getting off the pads before it dries on.

Pollen and grass season too. Owners of itchy dogs are often told to wipe the paws after every walk, and this makes that quick enough to actually keep doing.

What is in it

Panthenol, also called pro-vitamin B5, which moisturises the pads and helps them hold on to water. Witch hazel, which cleans. Centella asiatica and Lactobacillus ferment, which soften and condition. Mild enough for daily use.

What it will not do

Deep mud up to the elbow is a hose job. This does not replace a bath either.
